Bronco Birthday #4!

I can't believe that 4 years have gone by and my little baby is so BIG!  We had a great day lined up for her birthday; we first started out by going to Eagle Island.  We packed up and hit the beach for a lunch and afternoon in the water.  It ended up hitting 102 degrees on Allie's birthday, so we made the most of our hot day by playing in the water

We met Papa Jim at the park and enjoyed a picnic lunch.  The kids had so much fun in these trees and collecting acorns, that we were limited on time when we actually ended up getting down to the water.  But none the less, they had a great time

Also enjoying some rides on Papa

After a bit of swimming the kids enlisted Papa into helping them make a sand castle

After the beach, we packed up and headed back home to finish a few loose ends for the big Bronco Party.  Blake was really horrified with Allie's idea to have a Buster Bronco Party because he thought it wasn't "girly" enough for his little princess.  He kept asking Allie if she wanted a princess party, to which Allie would reply, "I had that last year dad."  Allie was dead set on this idea, so we took a spin and turned it into more of a "bronco themed cheerleading party," so she could still enjoy the Boise State spirit and have it a little girly.

Thanks to our surrounding Bronco fans, we were able to borrow some decorations for the party

I decided that this was a great excuse to accumulate some Bronco gear that I could bust out for game days, so I ended up making a Boise State tablecloth

Everyone was asked to come in their Bronco attire; we even rounded some up gear for the out of towners

Grandma Deb was kind enough to include Max on the occasion and made him a bow to wear on his collar

Our night started out by giving each girl a wooden cheerleader to color and the 2 boys got a football player

All the girls were eating up the craft

Next, we painted toes and fingernails for those whose wanted them done.  Of course, the only options were blue and orange

Cute blue toes with orange polka dots

After the girls were pampered, we went outside to let everyone take a whack at the "megaphone" pinata

Ainsley giving it her best and Max waiting closing by so he could have at the strings when the event was over

After candy, what better idea than to bring on more sugar.....the cake

Getting ready to open gifts on the "blue turf" with all of her friends

More pieces to add to her doll house

It's a Pillow....It's a Pet....It's a Pillow Pet.

Ainsley and Adam brought Pillow Pets to town with them.  Allie just loved them and immediately wanted one for her birthday.  Since I hadn't bought her anything for her big day, I forked out a little dough to bring home a Pillow Pet.  Allie was just thrilled she got one.

The kids topped the night off by sleeping on the blue turf
