My Fridge is Leaking

Allie came upstairs the other day and told me "mom, the fridge is leaking."  Allie is into grabbing the milk jug and her sippy and bringing them to me when she wants milk.  I thought we would find a little spilt milk.  I walked downstairs only to find the fridge door shut and no spills anywhere.  I opened the fridge only to find the cap off a bottle of Sprite that I had laying on it's side. There was Sprite pouring over everything in the fridge.  I asked Allie if she had twisted that cap off.  She looked at me and said, "Macey did it."  Knowing that Allie's friend had been gone for hours, I looked at Allie and said,  "Allie did you take the cap off?"   Allie then in a quiet voice replied, "oh yeah...I forgot."   That is her new line lately, and it's a good one.

Happy St. Pattys Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today we celebrated St. Patty's by eating green frosted sugar cookies at Owen's House.  The kid's enjoyed sugar cookies and an afternoon of play while a few of us worked on Kelly's baby announcements...they are turning out to be so cute!

Allie said a funny sentance that I just had to write down.  We were driving out to Kelly's and there was a long row of tall trees infront of someone's house.  Allie started to giggle and said, "that was a big tree wall."  I hadn't ever heard of a tree wall, but it really looked like a wall because there were so many trees so close together.  I just started to laugh because I thought that was so funny....a tree wall.  I guess you just had to be there. Thanks for making me laugh girl!

Painting and Pudding

After receiving some mail from GG today we decided it was due time to send her something back.  My grandma is so wonderful!  She is always sending the kids cards on every holiday, as well as just because.  Today we received a card just to say hi.  She is such an amazing woman I wish that we lived closer to spend more time with her.

I dug out some finger paints and Allie and I decided that we were going to paint a picture for GG.  It was pretty fun...we ended up painting Allie's hands and doing a couple handprints.  Allie also explained her picture to me after we were done.  She has never described what she has drawn before, so it was fun to see what she thought up

Allie wanted to wash her hands after every time we painted her hands and then she was ready to do it again.  My once not so picky little girl is started to hate being dirty.  She wants a napkin at every meal now to keep her hands completly clean through the meal

In this picture there is a yellow "sun", a red "house", another yellow "sun", and a blue "car"

That night we enjoyed pudding parfaits.  We should have tried pudding painting while we were at it.  We'll have to save that for another day.

A Day of Laughs

Well Allie has kept me on my toes today....she is full of hilarioussness lately.  Here were a few of my favorite evetns from our day

1-I was outside in the garage and my back was to Allie.  I was organizing a few bins on the shelf and  Allie says to me, "Mom, I'm going potty like we do outside."  I flip my head to see Allie with her drawers dropped squatting and peeing (this is what we do up in the mountains).  The pee unfortunately was going right into her pants.  I just had to laugh and explain that the only times we get to pee like that is when we are away from a bathroom.

2-Allie came running at me while I was getting dressed saying, "I'm going to get you old man."  Well, for one I hope I don't look old and two I hope I don't look like a man...the things kids say.

3-We were out looking for a few Easter decorations and I was telling Allie about the Easter Bunny that was going to come.  I told her he brings some treats and a toy. I also explained that he comes at night while we are sleeping, kind of like what Santa does.   This was the conversation that followed.

Allie-"Does the bunny live in the North Pole?"

Mom-"No." (Trying to think if I ever was told as a kid where the Easter Bunny was from)

Allie-"Where is he?"

Mom-"Where does he live?"

Allie-"Yeah"

(At this point I called Aunt Katie to ask if she remembered where the Easter Bunny was from.  We concluded he would be from a hole in the ground)
Mom (after the phone conversation)-"He lives in a small hole with his family."

Allie-"The big bunny lives in a hole?"  (with doubt in her words.  We were just looking at pictures last year of Allie and the Easter bunny the other day and she saw what a rather large bunny he is)

Mom-"He sure does!"

Am I believable or what?  Anybody have thoughts on the home of the Easter Bunny?
