Cross Country Ski

For FHE we headed up to the beautiful mountains to enjoy this view and a quick cross country ski trip with our little family

Blake and I both love being up in the solitude of the mountains....the scenery, the quietness, the crisp cold and the family memories we create

Sophie wasn't too thrilled about her bunting suit, but it kept her nice and warm

Getting ready to head off, Allie was a little nervous with Sophie freaking out but there was nothing to worry about once we got moving-the sloshing through the snow always puts the kids to sleep

Sophie quickly fell asleep and Allie enjoyed the night ride with her light.   A quick picture I took as we were going along, it showed a spot inside the sled that was nice and lit up from Allie's light.  On our ride tonight 

we spotted an owl at the top of a tree.  He was whoo-ing so loud, it was really cool to sit and listen. It could be heard for quite a long distance once we left too. 

 We were all worn out by the end of the night.  Allie enjoyed her new head lamp.  She told me that she was going to take it to bed and keep the light on to scare away the monsters and she really did.  Cute girl!
