Cabin Fever

We just can't get enough!  We just can't get enough!  We had another open weekend and headed back to the cabin for some more fun with the Givens and Rawlings Families.  We headed over to the hot springs on Friday afternoon.  It was so fun because it was snowing a majority of the time we were there.  I love having my body submerged in the warm water with the cold snow falling across my face.  Nothing is as relaxing as being up in the mountains, in the water, with the snow falling down around.

Allie enjoying a chunk of ice.  It almost looks as though this chunk of ice stuck was stuck to her lip, but it wasn't.

After swimming we headed back to the cabin to enjoy the opening ceremonies of the Winter 2010 Olympics.  The kids had a blast goofing around with each other.

On Saturday morning the dad's headed off with the kids to do some sledding.  The dad's ended up finding this great sledding hill across the lake that was a blast to go down.  I'm not as daring as I used to be so it freaked me out just a little because it was a really big hill.

Everyone hiking to the top.  There were actually two different spots you could go down the hill from.  One was about 1/2 way up and the other was all the way to the top.  For some reason the top seemed like quite a ways up compared to the middle point.

After the sledding hill we did some sledding behind the snow mobiles.  It was so much fun!  Holly trying out some stomach sledding.....as you can see she is the only one left.  It was a very difficult way to sled.

Okay, hands down this was the funnest part of the day.  Couples sledding!  It was hilarious to try to fit both our rears into the tiny sled and hang on as we were whipped around.  Half the time a leg, a butt cheek, or some other body part was hanging outside of the sled and we couldn't stop laughing.  Here's to another great weekend at the cabin!
