Water Day

We are trying to beat the heat and decided to have a day playing in the water. For the first chunk of the afternoon the kids had a blast playing in the backyard with the pool and jumping on the tramp with the sprinkler underneath. In the evening we headed over to Settlers to play at the water park.

We thought this was a great activity for Allie in her cast. We through a bag around the cast and it just got sprinkled with water, not doused like it would have with swimming

I totally remember washing and painting the sidewalk from when I was little. The girls had a great time dumping their buckets of water on the porch trying to keep it all wet. It kept them entertained for awhile because while they were busy getting one area wet, the sun was drying another

What's better than wet chalk? I had to take a picture of Allie's artwork because I loved it and thought it was so cute. This is her Octopus

Here are the messy girls with their chalky hands and feet

We stopped for a break and had some fudgesicles

Max enjoyed watching from inside the house. We let him out for a minute and he quickly returned inside to beat the heat. I just love this kitty!

After dinner we decided to hit Settlers. We weren't planning on getting wet here because I thought the water turned off at 8, but I was wrong. It was too hot and so I decided to let the kids all run through the water park with their clothes on. After the water fun, they ran around and played while the sun dried everyone off.

Adam enjoyed sitting on all of the fountains

The soaking wet siblings

Allie joined in for a little water fun, but was not liking the idea of having wet clothes on her body that I wouldn't let her take off. She decided to come play a little early. Here she is being a pirate. Arrrh Matey

After the water park we traveled through the various activities as a group. I was going crazy trying to keep track of 3 active kids running through a crowded park. We made it safely home with all 3 kids in tow
