Zoo Boise

We packed up and headed out to half price zoo day. We had a great time at the zoo today. It started off with a lot of sleeping animals, but got better as our day went on

The giraffe came over and leaned his head over top the fence to say hello. What a nice welcome

Everyone taking a moment to get cooled off by the elephant

Papa trying to decided if he could be a penguin. Penguins can hold their breath for 1 minute. Papa can hold his breath for 1:30

Papa bought all the kids a ride on the carousel. Allie was thrilled to ride on the zebra

The tigers are always one of my favorite. They put on quite a show for us. When we first got there they were both laying on the ground. One finally got up and started to walk around and then pounced on the other tiger trying to get him up to play. It was such a neat interaction to see in the zoo exhibit

Allie with her big ears so she can listen to mommy better; to bad they aren't permanent

Two little chickens hatching; they are so cute I think we'll keep them

The spider monkeys were also very entertaining. We made it just in time for their afternoon snack. The zoo workers placed milk jugs filled with their treats on branches throughout their exhibit. The monkeys were so eager to get the food out; it was quite a show to watch them use their tails and hands to get the food out
