Yellowstone Adventures-Day 1

We love Yellowstone and were so excited to be back here with our little family.  This year we met up with Blake's siblings and rented a cabin in Island Park.



The first day we headed over to the Upper and Lower Geyser Basin.  First stop was Firehole Falls along the way.

Waiting for Old Faithful to erupt.   The kids did a great job of patiently waiting because there were many false alarms during our 20 minute waiting period.

We had a horrible viewing spot for Old Faithful-we mostly saw steam-but here's to our family photo in front of Old Faithful just to say we went there 

So far Sophie was being a good traveler, but it's only day 1

We ran into some elk as we were leaving the park.  The first wild life of the day; I was a little bummed we didn't see any buffalo

After dinner we headed out to do some fishing with dad on the river

Allie is always a good sport and willing to pose so I can play around with the camera.

This girl on the other hand is always on the move.  We had a great first day relaxing on our vacation.
