Yellowstone Adventures-Day 2

Today was probably my favorite day of all.  We had a lazy morning at the cabin and then headed off to Yellowstone after lunch time.  The afternoon and evening in the park was my favorite and we found our new favorite spot in the park-Lamar Valley

Jane, Brynn, and Allie

Matching hair for the day

Lucy and Seth felt a little left out so they jumped into the photo

Fun times with the cousins at the cabin

First stop in the park was Gibbon Falls.  I'm absolutely awe struck by waterfalls-LOVE them!

Next, off to Norris Geyser Basin

Allie keeping me entertained along the boardwalk

Hoping everyone stays on the boardwalk at this attraction.  There were hot thermal pools right off to the sides of this one

Love the bright colors in the pools

Cousin Pic

Of course a silly one

On our drive to Mammoth Hot Springs we got caught up in traffic.  Everyone was stopped to check out the rack on this elk-HUGE

These girls all had a great time together.  Hanging out at Mammoth Hot Springs

A little bum shaking by Allie and Cam along the way

After Mammoth Hot Springs we headed off to eat dinner at Tower Falls.  At dinner we ran into a park employee who had recommended heading over to Lamar Valley to experience some wild life, including the hundreds of buffalo that roam the valley.  Blake and I had read about this valley before the trip and were glad to hear another good review

This buffalo was down  with the heard and started to make his way up the side of the road.  He was heading right towards us and actually walked right passed the passenger side of the car.  I was so scared, I crawled to the middle of the car and I didn't get a picture of him right next to my window

The buffalo kept trudging forward and made his way up to Scott and Jenny's van.  Luckily he left us all alone and continued on his journey.  It was such a fun evening getting so close to all the buffalo. Well worth the drive to the North East part of the park.  We will be back to visit Lamar Valley.
