1st Day of Kindergarten

Did this day finally arrive? I can't believe, but yet I can believe that this girl is off to Kindergarten.  She has been counting down the days and has been so excited for the first day of school to start for quite some time

The day before school officially started we got to head over to Pioneer and meet her teacher Mrs. Gilliam, take a mini tour around the room, the school bathrooms; all that fun stuff.  It was nice to go over and let Allie familiarize herself with everything in the room

The Schultuete-German School Cone- made it's debut back to our house.  This is a 1st day of school tradition that our kids get on the first day of school; it's filled with a few goodies and school supplies

Allie got a new workbook, a jump rope for recess, and a few other goodies

There is no busing that runs during the mid-afternoon when Allie goes to school; so Allie was thrilled she would be able to ride the bus home from school

I'd say that she had a good first day

Another fun tradition that I started was the GIANT cookie on the first day of school.  Allie was thrilled to find this big cookie waiting just for her; although we all got to enjoy it all throughout the week.
